The following terms of use set out the terms and conditions which govern your use of our Website, including but not limited to the Wills section of our Website.
By checking the acceptance box below, you (the “User”) are indicating your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.
- The User and Characterist LLC (the “Firm”) agree that the use of this Website by the User, including but not limited to the Wills section of the same, is purely for the purposes of allowing Characterist LLC to gather information for the purposes of rendering legal advice and/or services to the User.
- Both the User and the Firm agree that the content, use or provision of information of this Website shall not constitute:
- the rendering of legal services or advice by the Firm to the User or
- a binding agreement, contract of engagement or retainer for the provision of legal services or advice by the Firm to the User.
- The Firm shall, at its sole and absolute discretion, be entitled to refuse to act in any matter, notwithstanding the fact that information in relation to that matter has been submitted to the Firm via this Website.
- The User shall indemnify and hold harmless the Firm, its directors and employees, against any and all claims, howsoever arising, in respect or in connection to the User’s use of the Website, including but not limited to the Wills section of the same.
- All information provided by the User to the Firm via this Wills section will be confidential and treated in accordance with the standards specified by the Legal Profession Act and/or such subsidiary or other legislation in effect.
- The User shall not use this Website for any purpose other than for the provision of information to the Firm.
- If any provision of this Agreement shall be declared to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable (whether in whole or in part), such provision shall be deemed modified to the extent, but only to the extent, of such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability and the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall not be affected thereby.
- This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Singapore and parties hereby submit all disputes to the non- exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Singapore.
